Cyrus General Trading
Cyrus General Trading (CGT) has been involved in global trading since 1977. CGT specializes in the physical sourcing and marketing of products for Government Agencies, Corporations and is the original business segment from which the Cyrus Group was born.
Cyrus General Trading has built a solid reputation with a commitment to excellence in every facet of their business. A strong sales and management organization is supported by a trusted network of suppliers and manufacturers. Working together, we provide superior customer service and timely delivery of products from all over the world.

One of our main activities is in Rice Trading. Historically the rice was shipped in packaged form. However later on the company began shipping rice in bulk form and started to package at the point of destination under strict quality supervision in order to reduce vessel loading and freight costs while providing enhanced market competitiveness, improved customer service and product freshness. The savings from cost reduction was passed on to dealers and end-consumer by providing co-ops and other incentives for buyers. The above strategy has resulted in transfer of technology, creating local job, upgrading the quality, offering packaging in all sizes according to market needs as well as being able to control price fluctuation and stock availability during economical and political crisis, climate changes, and regional instabilities. The same principle of quality also applies to our meat products; we have invested in setting up slaughter houses in the import country.
Today, utilizing CGT’s financial capabilities and infrastructure to ensure competitive pricing and superior quality, CGT invests heavily in the logistical support of its trading activities, namely, the bulk handling of basic commodities. This experience and innovative solutions favorably position CGT to meet the challenges of today’s continually evolving markets.
